Gemini, the Twins
Gemini is the sign of the twins. The third sign of the zodiac and it is also the first to have a human instead of an animal as the symbol.
The myth is, (remember, Jupiter has an eye for pretty faces if you know the history of him), Leda, who was married to Tyndareus, the King of Sparta, was an object of Jupiter’s affections so he changed himself to a swan, because he didn’t want to try the bull play another time (twice as Taurus) and managed to seduce Leda while disguised as a swan.
Next, she bore two eggs, and one was the offspring of Jupiter and the other was the mortal’s husband. Well, they were both mortal. The two eggs produced four children..now that is weird. How can that be? Well Two were brothers and two were sisters. Castor and Pollux; Helen of Troy (everybody must remember her! The movie Troy!) and Clytemnestra. It is not clear who Jupiter sired, some think it was Castor and Pollux, but others think it could been Castor and Helen.
Just so you know, Castor and Pollux are the twins!!
